The Father-Son Duo Behind MEA
MEA is an NYC-based construction company that has been in business since 2007.
Founder Miguel “Eddie” Avila began MEA as a result of his passion for excelling in life and for his family.
From the soccer field to the parking garages of NYC to even the pursuit of his wife, Eddie has always been persistent towards his goals and doesn’t settle. MEA started with Eddie working as a super in the building he lived in and as a house painter. Always wanting to excel, he would go above and beyond to care for the building he was responsible for, the tenants, and his clients.
The company expanded, grew, and evolved from those beginnings, and over 15 years later, MEA has become a name in NYC’s contractor industry.
Eddie’s son, Nicholas Avila, experienced through working with his dad and another leading contractor in the city, has now taken on leadership with MEA. In a short time, under Nicholas’ leadership, doors soon opened for the company to start working with more new clients, architects, and designers.
With Eddie still on the team, Nick continues the legacy of his father while also capitalizing on their momentum to break into new markets throughout NYC.
Nick has a unique passion for the people he encounters to feel care and empathy, which pours directly into his work with MEA.
No matter who they work with, MEA’s mission is clear: create quality spaces with empathy.
With over 1500 projects under their belts and counting, they’re confident they can serve your needs well while providing an unmatched experience from start to finish.
